Amy Warren, under the guidance of Dr. Lisa Sattenspiel, has recently received an NSF Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant.

Amy will use computer simulation to investigate the complex interactions between human populations and their environment in Long House Valley and the adjacent Black Mesa in Arizona between AD 800 and AD 1350. This research will allow her to gain greater insight into the effects of resource stress and human adaptive behaviors on the structure of prehistoric human populations. Amy is a PhD Candidate with an emphasis in Biological Anthropology.
